Hypothetical models

This thought-piece, written in 2019, presents an approach to thinking emotional culture as a metabolic substrate - set within existing metabolic rifts. It draws food systems “crises” and understandings of governance protocol into a line of thinking, asking how socio-cultural models of risk and work, based on scarcity, may evolve into one based on abundance.

The piece is part of the #17 May 2019 dossier: Metabolic Systems of the Technosphere magazine, an imprint of the HKW.
